Alana De La Garza has established herself as a household name in the world of television. In 1976 De La Garza was born to a Mexican-American father and an Irish-American mom in Columbus Ohio. Then she began moving to Texas to pursue a physical therapy career within the University of Texas. De La Garza moved from Texas to Orlando Florida and took on various acting roles in local independent film as well as international commercials. Despite the small parts she discovered her passion for acting. After 2001, she relocated from the Midwest to New York where her first appearance was on the All My Children's soap as Rosa Santos. Her roles were sporadic on JAG the Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men at the beginning of 2000. Her first major part came in the year 2004, on the underrated drama The Mountain. She played Maria Serrano and De La Garza was lucky enough to be a part of a cast that included some of the best TV actors including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. In 2006 she was the lead character A.D.A. in Law & Order. Connie Rubirosa. The actress appeared on the show 85 times. Later, she starred in the Law & Order: LA brief-lived sequel. De La Garza was nominated for several awards including the award for Best Supporting Actress-TV from the Imagen Foundation Awards as well as several ALMA Award nominations. In 2008, she was awarded an Impact Award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza was then selected as a regular actor on CSI Miami. The role was Marisol Delko as the wife of David Caruso's Horatio. Most recent TV appearance was on Doctor. Lena Solis on NBC's slightly darker comedy Do No Harm. Alyssa Milano was canceled by NBC after only two episodes.
