Christopher Peter Meloni has been an acclaimed American actor for a number of years. The actor is best famous for his roles was in "Law & Ordinance Special Victims Unit". The first time he became interested in acting was during his college years. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both the television and film industry, but it was his small-screen characters that brought him fame and a large fan base. He's been able easily play characters who are from both sides of law, and captivate the viewers' focus. He was the voice of a serial killer on the first TV series he appeared in and then went on to play the role that of a NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he's received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is famous for his blue-piercing eyes that have been a signature and helped portray tough characters with charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
